The Alumni Office and the Center for Career Services are pleased to offer students and alumni the following employment related services and programs.
ALUMNI CAREER PROFILES
Profiles feature successful alumni on a rotating basis and list their educational backgrounds and current professional positions. A photograph and contact information is made available to students. Please include a recent photo with your response form.
A RESUME REFERRAL SYSTEM
Assists employers, alumni, and students in filling positions. Resumes can be searched electronically through the College Central Network or manually by Career Services. The referral system can be accessed through the College Central link on the Career Services home page.
ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING
Conducted by employers individually or in group settings with students and/or alumni. Sessions run October through April. Contact the Center for Career Services to schedule your organization for a visit.
INTERNSHIPS
Provide work opportunities that meet both the needs of the agency site and learning goals of the students. Students are mentored by agency supervisors who may assist them in career decisions, as well as help them gain practical application of the knowledge and principles learned in the classroom. If your employer is interested in serving as an internship site, please contact Career Services.
JOB FAIRS
Benefit to students and employers because of the variety of organizations available at one site. The Edinboro Center for Career Services hosts several job fairs on the campus each year and participates in several local and regional job fairs.
THE CAREER LIBRARY
Housed in the Center for Career Services, the Career Library maintains current reference information on career decision making, job seeking skills and graduate school. Various company files are also available.
SPEAKERS BUREAU
Provides volunteer alumni speakers who are seasoned professionals interacting with students about their career choices.
