NATALIE KOSTELANSKY NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

Sophomore Leads Fighting Scots to A 3-2 Tournament Record

EDINBORO, PA - Natalie Kostelansky (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) was named to the All-Tournament Team in the 2002 Patriot Invitational Softball Tournament held by Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. The sophomore first basemen led Edinboro to a 3-2 record in the tournament from Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March 10.

Kostelansky led the team in putouts with 41 and hits with 6 in 14 at bats. She went 2-for-3 at the plate against St. Andrews College and was 2-for-4 in wins over Limestone College and West Virginia Wesleyan, including a double in each game. The infielder reached base on eight occasions, the most times for the Scots. Kostelansky finished second on the team with a .429 hitting percentage and also recorded a .936 fielding percentage.
