FOUR FIGHTING SCOTS POST PROVISIONAL NCAA QUALIFYING TIMES

Aaron Rowe and Lisa Petsche Lead Boro at Duke Invitational

EDINBORO, PA - The Edinboro University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Duke Invitational held at Duke University on April 5-6. Four Fighting Scots posted provisional qualifying times for the NCAA Division II tournament which will be held in May.

Junior Aaron Rowe (Dublin, OH/Dublin) qualified with his first place finish in the men's 10,000 meters with a time of 30:03.72. Senior Lisa Petsche (Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman) placed third in the women's 10,000 meters with a time of 36:17.19, finishing five seconds behind the second place finisher to qualify. Freshman Lindsay Roberts (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) qualified in the women's 10,000 meters with an eighth place finish at 37:19.97. Senior Jocelyn Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) qualified in the women's 3,000 meters, placing 20th with a time of 10:01.92.

Freshman Jared Lowry (North Canton, OH/North Canton) added a fifth place finish in the men's 10,000 meters when he crossed the finish line at 31:48.43. Lowry's fifth place added to the Fighting Scots' 29 places.

The Edinboro track and field teams return to competition on Wednesday, April 17 at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Quad meet held at Slippery Rock University.
