CROSS COUNTRY TEAM SWEEPS PSAC AWARDS

EDINBORO, PA - The Edinboro University cross country team swept this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference awards, with Ryan Coon (Clymer, NY/Sherman) being named the Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week and Julie Nemergut (Youngstown, OH/South Range) recognized as the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the week.

Coach Doug Watts' Fighting Scots competed in the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational this past weekend. The women captured first place out of 20 teams, while the men finished third out of 29 teams.

Nemergut placed second out of 268 runners. The junior covered the 5K course in a time of 17:49. Coon, meanwhile, finished fifth out of 369 runners, and was the first Division II runner against the line. He posted a time of 25:29 for 8,000 meters.

Edinboro is back in action this Saturday, September 25, hosting the edinboro Rag Relays. The running gets underway at 12 noon.
