EDINBORO, PA - The Edinboro University football team continued its climb up the NCAA Division II Northeast Region rankings this week, going up two spots from seventh to fifth. The Fighting Scots have won three straight contests to improve to 5-2 overall. The latest win was a 38-14 victory over Indiana(Pa.), who was ranked sixth in the region a week ago. A total of seven PSAC schools show up in the Northeast Region poll, with East Stroudsburg first at a perfect 7-0. Shippensburg (7-1) moved past Bentley (6-1) into second place this week. C.W. Post (5-2) vaulted from eighth to third fourth place, with the Fighting Scots rounding out the top five.
Edinboro plays at Slippery Rock on Saturday, October 23.
