EDINBORO, PA - Edinboro University senior Jakim Donaldson (Pittsburgh, PA/Oliver) has been named the PSAC West Player of the Week for his performance in a pair of Fighting Scot wins this past week. Edinboro is 4-1 overall, with games this weekend at Mansfield and East Stroudsburg.
Donaldson, a 6'8" forward, led Edinboro to a 69-60 win over Gannon last week with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He was 7 of 11 from the floor and 7 of 9 from the free throw line, adding 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot. While playing just 23 minutes in an 88-68 win over Penn State McKeesport, Donaldson recorded his fourth double-double in five games with 13 points and 14 rebounds. He was 6 of 10 from the floor and 1 of 1 from the line. In addition, Donaldson contributed 3 assists, a blocked shot and a steal.
All told, Donaldson averaged 17.0 ppg. and 12.0 rpg. in the two contests. He shot 61.9 percent from the floor (13 of 21) and 80.0 percent from the line (8 of 10). He is now averaging 18.2 ppg. and 11.2 rpg. Donaldson has moved into 22nd place in career scoring with 941 points, is sixth in career rebounds (750) and tied for fourth in career blocked shots (138).
