EDINBORO, PA - A pair of Edinboro University women's soccer players have been named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District II College Division Women's Soccer Teams. Junior defender Becky Hostettler (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) was named to the second team, while junior midfielder Kathy Lantzy (Erie, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was selected to the third team.

Voting was conducted among members of the College Sports Information Directors of America for District II, comprised of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

A young Edinboro team finished the season last weekend with a 6-9-3 record. Hosttettler and Lantzy were key performers. Hostettler played in all 18 matches, with 17 starts. While not registering any goals, she keyed a defense that gave up just 25 goals and recorded five shutouts. She is an Elementary Education/Special Education major with a perfect 4.00 GPA. Lantzy played in 17 matches, with 15 starts. Like Hostettler, she did not record any points but turned in a strong performance as a defensive midfielder.
