EDINBORO, PA - The Edinboro University women's soccer team dropped one spot to tenth in the latest NSCAA Division II Northeast Region rankings. The Fighting Scots are 2-2-1 heading into the Wednesday, September 15 match against Slippery Rock. The Rock is ranked first in the Northeast Region and seventh in Division II.
The Fighting Scots suffered a 4-0 loss to 17th-ranked Southampton, who is ranked second in the region, in their last match last week, after defeating Mansfield, 1-0.
Slippery Rock holds down the top spot in the region with a 5-0-1 record, the tie a 2-2 match against Southampton. The Rock is one of six teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in the top ten. Southampton (3-0-1) is second, followed by West Chester (3-0-0), Adelphi (3-1-0, and Bridgeport (3-1-0).
