You'd be hard pressed to find a better fall season at Edinboro, and that success was nearly duplicated in the winter. The football team posted its first winning season since 1996, and the Fighting Scots didn't stop there. They finished with a 9-3 record, finishing as the PSAC West co-champions and being selected for the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since 1995. Volleyball went 26-12, earning its eighth trip to the NCAA Atlantic Regional in the last nine years. Women's soccer set a new record for wins in a season, going 12-7-1 and making the PSAC Tournament for just the second time. Men's and women's cross country both finished in the top 20 at the NCAA Division II National Championships, with the women's claiming the PSAC and East Region titles.
The wrestling team highlighted the winter activities, winning both the Eastern Wrestling League and PSAC championships for the fifth time in the last six years. Edinboro finished 24th at Nationals. Both the men's and women's basketball teams qualified for the PSAC Tournament. The women's team finished with a 18-10 record, its most wins since the 1996-97 season. The men's team ended the year with a 14-14 record, but they finished second in the PSAC West with an 8-4 record, marking the fourth straight year with either a first or second place finish in the division. Wheelchair basketball won 21 games and finished fourth at the National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, their highest finish ever.
Track and field showcased seven All-PSAC performers, with three qualifying for the National Championships this spring. All three went on to earn All-American honors ath the NCAA Division II National Championships.
