VYTO BANKAITIS, 1978
Vyto Bankaitis for his accomplishments at
Edinboro epitomizing the student-athlete concept. Eight-time
All-American swimmer for the Scots. Specializing in the 100 and
200 breaststroke. Earned a 4.0 GPA in biology. In 1978, was
awarded an NCAA post-graduate scholarship, one of just six
nationally. Owns a doctorate from North Carolina University.
BRIAN JORDAN, 1981
Brian Jordan for his outstanding achievements for
the Scot cross country and track programs. Sox Harrison Award
winner as schools outstanding senior athlete in 1981.
Three-time All-American. Seven-time All-PSAC performer. 1979
national runner up in steeplechase competition. All-Regional
selection twice. 1978 NAIA District 18 steeplechase individual
champion.
JAMES KRENTZ, 1980
James Krentz for his accomplishments on the
gridiron as a Scot linebacker from 1975-78. Four-year starter and
captain his senior year. Three-time all conference player. Holds
the Edinboro career mark for the most tackles with 572. In 1978,
Krentz was credited with a school record 200 stops from the
linebacker spot. Considered one of Edinboros all-time great
football players.
JOHN WALKER, 1975
John Walker for his outstanding achievements in
the sports of cross country, track and football. Two-time
All-American and nine-time PSAC performer in the running events.
PSACs most valuable trackman in 1974. Anchored Edinboros
4 x 400 intermediate relay world record. Two-year football starter
with 12 interceptions second most in Edinboro history. |
