MARK DRENNEN, 1978
Mark Drennen for his outstanding accomplishments
in swimming from 1975-77. Multi All-American honors for the
Fighting Scots. He was a seven-time Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference champion. In his first season, won individual state
crowns in the 200 and 400 yard freestyle events and was part of
the champion 800 and 1650 relay squads.
ED ERDOS
Ed Erdos for his many contributions to the sport
of swimming at Edinboro. Head coach from 1971-86, he totaled 90
dual victories including two undefeated seasons and guided 22
All-Americans. PSAC Coach of the Year twice, he was also an
All-American swimmer and school record holder at Slippery Rock.
JIM HAZLETT
Jim Hazlett for his dedication as an athlete and
coach in football, basketball, and baseball. The Edinboro
University Hall of Fame marks his third induction following
Susquehanna University and the Allegheny-Kiski Valley Area. Former
football and basketball coach in the 60s, was also and
All-American as a player.
RON LINK, 1982
Ron Link for his outstanding play as a defensive
lineman for the Scot football team in the early 1980s. Earned
All-American, All-Region and All-PSAC honors. Owns school records
for quarterback sacks in a game (7), season (15) and career (27).
Free agent signee of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1982.
JOHN MCBRIDE, 1953
John McBride for his two-sport accomplishments in
track and football in the early 1950s. Two-time PSAC 440 title
winner and member of PSAC championship mile relay team. A
defensive back, he still holds the school record with four
interceptions in a game. Scholarship in his name currently at
Edinboro.
TINA SKIDMORE, 1981
Tina Skidmore for her outstanding accomplishments
in the sport of basketball. Regarded as one of the Lady Scots
all-time greats. Scored 1,337 career points to rank third
all-time. Second in career rebounds with 809. Tied for Boro record
with 41 points in one game. All-PSAC and All-District. |
