DALVIN BAEHLER, 1979
Dalvin Baehler for his outstanding achievements
in track and cross country in the late 1970s. Named the Sox
Harrison award winner in 1979, he was All-American in both sports
for the Boro. Scoring member of two national championship cross
country teams and was the District 18 individual titleist in 1977.
FRED CASOLI, 1941
Fred Casoli for his excellence on the basketball
and tennis courts for the Red Raiders from 1937 to 1941. A
hard-playing forward and accurate shooter, he went on to complete
a 30-year career in the Air Force before joining the staff of the
University of South Carolina. A scholarship was created in his
honor following his death in 1989.
SUSAN COLTON, 1972
Susan Colton for her accomplishments as an
athlete and coach in basketball, softball and swimming. Co-captain
of the Lady Scot basketball team for two years, she once held the
school mark for points in one game (29). A former Edinboro
assistant coach, she went on to future coaching successes at
nearby Fairview High School.
ROGER DOYLE, 1978
Roger Doyle for his numerous achievements with
the Scot swimming team, he was Edinboros first swimming
All-American and NCAA finalist. He earned All-American honors four
times and annually received All-PSAC recognition. Has enjoyed
enormous success at Eisenhower High School (Michigan) as the mens
and womens swimming coach.
JOHN FERRARO, 1967
John Ferraro for his honors as a member of the
football and baseball team in the mid 1960s. A football Little
All-American and captain of the 1966 squad. A member of a
record-setting defensive backfield, he went on to play
professionally in the Continental League. A member of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation since 1971.
ART MCCOMB
Art McComb for his many years of dedicated
service. His name lives forever with the dedication of McComb
Fieldhouse in 1970. Over a 16-year period, from 1946-1962, he
coached seven sports including football, basketball and wrestling.
His 40-year career spanned the junior high, high school and
college levels.
RICH RUSZKIEWICZ, 1983
Rich Ruszkiewicz for his achievements as a member
of the Scot football team for 1979-82. A Kodak first-team
All-American placekicker, he was Edinboros first to receive
such an honor. His 43 career field goals are currently third in
PSAC history. Still holds Edinboro records for field goals in a
season and career. |
