MARY ANN CHILCOTT, 1985
Mary Ann Chilcott for her two-sport achievements
in womens basketball and tennis. Nancy Acker Award winner in
1985 as the schools top female athlete, Mez
captured a PSAC double tennis title her senior year and also
eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier in basketball. Added over 400
rebounds, 200 steals and 200 assists for her four-year basketball
career.
ALICE KRUSZKA MILLER, 1939
Alice Kruszka Miller for her pioneering
contributions and accomplishments toward womens athletics in
the 1930s. A multi-sport performer specializing in basketball,
field hockey and skiing, she was honored as the schools top
female athlete her senior year. Past president of the Womens
Athletic on campus.
JUDY SAURER
Judy Saurer for her outstanding accomplishments
directing the womens basketball program from 1966-80. Tops
the Edinboro history books in seasons coached (14), wins (160) and
winning percentage (.702). Added 173 combined coaching vistories
at the University of Pittsburgh and Gannon University. Big East
Coach of the Year in 1983-84.
STEVE SENKO, 1983
Steve Senko for his banner career at the point
guard position for the mens basketball program from 1979-83.
He still stands as the schools all-time assist leader with
515 and second in steals with 201. Finished his career with 1,145
points and was three times an All-PSAC pick on the hardwood.
Played in 106 games for the Boro, third most in school history.
BARRY SWANSON, 1983
Barry Swanson for his unselfish, outstanding play
as a lineman for the Boro football team from 1979-82. After
earning the David Layo Award as the teams top freshman in
1979, he went on to earn Associated Press All-America honors as a
senior. A team captain his final season, he also earned first-team
All-PSAC and All-ECAC honors on the offensive line. |
