KARA (HOPKINS) DAWSON, 1991
Kara (Hopkins) Dawson for her outstanding career
as a member of the Fighting Scot Swimming and Volleyball programs.
The 1991 Nancy Acker Award winner, she concluded her career as an
incredible 15-time All-American in swimming. A three-time
All-American as a sophomore, she followed that with six
All-American performances as a junior and six more as a senior. A
freestyle specialist, she remains the school record-holder in
seven events, including the best times in the 50, 100, and
200-yard freestyle events, along with four relays. In addition,
she earned Academic All-American honors her final two years as a
Fighting Scot. As a member of the Fighting Scot volleyball team,
she earned first team All-PSAC honors in 1991.
STEWART DAWSON, 1989
Stewart Dawson for his outstanding career as a
member of the Fighting Scot Swimming program. He earned
All-American honors in 1987-88 in the 50-yard freestyle with a
time of 20.79, then bettered that time a year later with a school
record time of 20.40 to once again earn All-American honors. He
turned in a third All-American performance in the 100-yard
freestyle with a time of 45.82. A PSAC champion and NCAA Division
II runner-up, he set school records in both the 50 and 100-yard
freestyle events, with the record in the 50 still standing. He
concluded his brilliant career as the co-winner of the 1987 Sox
Harrison Award.
TERRY KENNEDY, 1989
Terry Kennedy for his outstanding career as a
member of the Fighting Scot Wrestling team. A two-time
All-American, he finished 5th at 150 lbs. at the 1988 NCAA
Division I National Championships, then placed 7th a year later
while competing at 142 lbs. His 43 wins in 1987-88 ranks second in
season wins, and with a career record of 139-34-3, he ranks second
in career wins and tenth in winning percentage. He stands sixth in
career falls with 25. A three-time East Regional champion, he
also won the PSAC Championship in 1988 and was recognized as the "Most
Outstanding Wrestler".
AUDRA NAUJOKAS-KNAPP, 1991
Audra Naujokas-Knapp for her outstanding
performances as a runner for the Fighting Scot Cross Country and
Track & Field programs. Her cross country career included an
All-American performance in 1990, along with earning All-PSAC
honors all four years and All-East Region accolades twice. She
helped the Fighting Scots finish eighth nationally in each of her
last three years. She turned in two All-American performances in
track in 1991, in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor
National Championships. A four-time All-PSAC performer in track,
she was the PSAC champion in the 3,000 meters as a senior.
MICHAEL RENNINGER, 1988
Michael Renninger for his outstanding career as a
member of the Fighting Scot Cross Country and Track & Field
programs. He was a member of three NCAA Division II cross country
national championship teams, and was a two-time All-American in
cross country and track. He was the 1989 NCAA Division II
runner-up in the steeplechase after previously setting the PSAC
record in the event. He was recognized as the 1989 PSAC "Most
Valuable Trackman", and was a four-time All-PSAC performer in
cross country. He capped his career by being named the 1990 Sox
Harrison Award Winner. |
