EDINBORO, PA --- The Athletic Department of
Edinboro University is venturing even further into the world of "cybersports"
with the launch of The Fighting Scots Online. Athletic
Director Bruce Baumgartner, in making the announcement, noted that
the new official World Wide Web location for EU athletics will
have all event press releases, scores, stats, rosters, features,
and much more.
Providing the site's development and
maintenance service is College Sports Online, Inc. of Forest,
Virginia.
Bob Shreve, EU Sports Information Director,
notes that the partnership will be beneficial for the University.
With more and more interest in getting news items to the public
quickly, being able to work with a source that provides prompt
attention has its advantages.
"College Sports Online has quite
a few school and conference clients," Shreve points out. "The
company knows how to interact with sports information offices
around the country, and we are confident that Fighting Scots fans
will be the ultimate beneficiary of this arrangement."
Rhudy Camper is the president of College Sports
Online, a company who primarily targets NCAA Division II/III
schools and conferences.
"College Sports Online is carving its
niche with the NCAA Division II competitive level," states
Camper. "Given this focus, Edinboro most certainly had to
be one of the schools that we wanted to team with when the
opportunity presented itself. This is especially true because of
both the quality of its athletic program, and the fact that the
Fighting Scots on occasion play other clients of ours."
"We are extremely pleased that College
Sports Online and the EU Sports Information Office, under the
direction of Bob Shreve, will now be able to provide their fans
a sports site they will want to visit often," concludes
Camper.
The Fighting Scots Online is still a "work
in progress," but nevertheless will become the place to be
for EU sports information, so check back frequently! |
