EDINBORO, PA The Edinboro University
football team took a huge step in the latest NCAA Division II
Northeast Region rankings. The Fighting Scots moved up one spot to
sixth in the region with one week left in the regular season.
Following Saturdays games, the selection committee will
choose the top six teams to advance to the NCAA Division II
Playoffs on Saturday, November 12.
The Fighting Scots switched place with Bentley
after posting a 33-7 win over Kutztown, while the falcons were
losing to Bryant. Edinboro is now 7-2 overall heading into
Saturdays game at Lock Haven. Bentley is 7-3 and has
concluded its season.
However, with the complicated computer system
now in place, a victory over Lock Haven doesnt necessarily
assure the Fighting Scots of locking up the sixth position.
