EDINBORO, PA Edinboro University senior
Alicia Knouff (Louisville, OH/Louisville) has been named the PSAC
West Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this
season. Knouff helped the Fighting Scots secure the third and
final playoff berth out of the PSAC West for the upcoming
championship tournament as Edinboro garnered wins over IUP and
Clarion.
A 61 middle hitter, Knouff helped
the Fighting Scots to a 3-0 week, including a five-game win over
Indiana (Pa.) to secure the Edinboros spot in the PSAC
Championships. The Fighting Scots also defeated Clarion and Notre
Dame (Oh.) earlier in the week. Knouff ended the week with 46
kills and only 5 errors for a .471 hitting percentage, adding 7
service aces and 10 block assists.
Knouff opened the week with 18 kills, 3 service
aces, and 3 block assists in the win over Notre Dame (Oh.). She
then led the way for the Scots in the win over Clarion with 16
kills, a pair of service aces, 4 digs, and 2 block assists. To
conclude the week, Knouff contributed a team-high 12 kills, 2
service aces, and 5 block assists to lead the Fighting Scots in
the five-game win over Indiana (Pa.).
