EDINBORO, PA For the second year in a
row Edinboro football players Nate Eimer (Oswego, IL/West
Aurora) and Chris Kaczor (Brook Park, OH/Berea) have
been named to the ESPN The Magazine District II Academic
All-America Team. Both were accorded second team honors for the
second straight year. Voting was conducted by members of CoSIDA
(College Sports Information Directors of America), with District
II comprised of Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia
and the District of Columbia.
Eimer is a 62, 227 lb. tight end
who carries a 3.41 GPA as a Special Education major. The senior
finished as Edinboros fourth-leading receiver with 18
catches for 204 yards and 2 TDs. That included a 48-yard catch and
run for a touchdown at Lock Haven last Saturday.
Kaczor, a 62, 293 lb. junior, is a
three-year starter on the offensive line, the last two seasons at
center. He has now started all 34 games in his career. A 2005
first team All-PSAC West selection at center, he was a second team
choice at offensive guard as a redshirt freshman, then moved to
center and earned second team honors a year ago. He helped the
offense average 199. 3 ypg. rushing and tie for the PSAC lead in
fewest sacks allowed (7). Kaczor is a Speech Communications major
with a 3.41 GPA.
Edinboro ended the season with an 8-2 record.
The Fighting Scots finished 5-1 in the PSAC West to tie for the
divisional crown. It is Edinboros third straight PSAC West
championship.
