The Edinboro University women’s volleyball
team’s season came to an end Friday night after losing to
Lees-McRae 27-30, 25-30, 16-30. Lees-McRae will advance to the
Atlantic Regional finals tomorrow facing the winner of this
evening’s Lock Haven and Indiana (Pa.) match.
In the quarter-final match senior Tiffany
Trgovac (Irvine, CA/Irvine) led the Scots with 10 kills and 11
digs, while Michelle Bator (West Middlesex, PA/West Middlesex)
and Alicia Knouff (Louisville, OH/Louisville) added
seven kills a piece. Ashley Cottengim (Fairport, NY/Fairport)
added 28 assists to the match.
The Fighting Scots finish with a record of
26-16 under first year coach Missy Soboleski, after last year’s
team posted a record of 13-19.
