EDINBORO, PA Edinboro University seniors
Alicia Knouff (Louisville, OH/Louisville) and Tiffany
Trgovac (Irvine, CA/Irvine) earned a spot on the NCAA Division
II Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team this past weekend. The
Fighting Scots defeated Mount Olive, 30-24, 38-36, 30-23 in the
quarterfinals before suffering a 30-27, 30-25, 30-16 defeat to
Lees-McRae in the semifinals. That ended Edinboros season at
26-16, an impressive turnaround after starting the season at 7-12.
Knouff, a 61 middle hitter, had 16
kills, one block solo and two block assists in the Mount Olive
match, while Trgovac, a 59 outside hitter, contributed
6 kills and 12 digs. In the Lees-McRae match, Knouff had 7 kills,
while Tgrovac had 10 kills, a service ace, and 11 digs.
Knouff finished the season with 496 kills, 109
block assists and 30 block solos. She moves into third place for
season kills, seventh place for block assists and fourth place for
block solos. She concluded her career ranked fourth in career
block solos (70) and fifth in career block assists (249). Trgovac
finished with the season with 250 kills and 416 digs.
