EDINBORO, PA Edinboro University junior
Curtis Ingram (Youngstown, OH/ Cardinal Mooney) has been
named the PSAC West Mens Basketball Co-Player of the Week
for the week ending February 19. Ingram shared the award with
Clarions Terrance Vaughn. The two will meet up on Wednesday,
February 22 as Clarion hosts Edinboro in an 8 p.m. tipoff at
Tippin Gymnasium.
Ingram helped the Fighting Scots improve to
17-8 overall and 8-2 in the PSAC West with wins over Indiana(Pa.)
and Lock Haven this past week. The 63 guard scored 16
points as Edinboro picked up a key road win with an 80-79 win at
IUP. He made 6 of 9 field goals, including 2 of 4 three-pointers,
and was 2 of 2 from the line. In addition, he pulled down eight
rebounds, blocked three shots and had a steal.
Edinboro survived a scare against Lock Haven,
rallying for an 81-71 win in overtime. Ingram had career highs for
points (27) and rebounds (11), the first double-double of his
career. He made 11 of 19 field goals, including 1 of 6 threes,
and was 4 of 6 from the line. In addition, he handed out a
career-best five assists. Ingram scored nine straight points at
one point in the contest, and 17 of his points came in the second
half and overtime session.
Ingram, a transfer from Division I Wofford in
his first season as a Fighting Scot, currently ranks second on the
team in scoring at 13.8 ppg., and is third in rebounding at 5.6
rpg. He has scored in double figures in 18 of 22 contests while
missing three games due to injury. |
