EDINBORO, PA – Edinboro University senior
Julie Nemergut (Youngstown, OH/South Range) has been named
the PSAC Women’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week for her
performance at this past weekend’s Raleigh Relays. Nemergut
shared the award with IUP’s Nicole Blaesser, who also
competed in the Raleigh Relays.
Competing against a field largely comprised of
Division I runners, Nemergut placed 12th over all in the 5000
meters, and was the top non-Division I finisher. Her time of
17:04.06 is the top time in that event this season. That is a
provisional NCAA qualifying time, as well.
