EDINBORO, PA – Edinboro University’s
Rachael Lanzel continued her strong cross country season with an
outstanding showing in the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational,
hosted by University of Chicago-Loyola. For her efforts the junior
was recognized as the PSAC Women’s Runner of the Week.
Lanzel captured fourth place, third among
collegiate runners, in the 5K Gold race, as a total of 175 runners
competed. Her time was 17:46. Of the 19 teams competing in the
event, 14 compete on the Division I level.
The Edinboro cross country team does not return
to action until Wednesday, October 18 when it will run in the Tour
de Scots at Wooster, OH.
