EDINBORO, PA -- Edinboro University womens
soccer head coach Gary Kagiavas has been invited by the NCAA
Division II Womens Soccer Committee to participate in the Youth
Education through Sports Clinic. The YES Clinic will be held
at the Division II Sports Festival November 11, 2006 in Pensacola,
Florida. Kagiavas will participate as an advisor with the NCAA YES
program, which encourages boys and girls to learn the skills in a
variety of sports.
Kagiavas is the only head coach the Edinboro
womens soccer program has had. Now in his 11th season, he
owns a career record of 88-95-15. The Fighting Scots are currently
8-7-0 with a pair of matches remaining. He has led Edinboro to
three appearances in the PSAC Playoffs. His best season came in
2003, when the Fighting Scots set a school record for wins with a
12-7-1 record. His 2001 squad finished 11-5-1, while the 2000
edition was 10-8-1.
Edinboro, coming off a 2-1 OT win Thursday
night at Clarion, concludes its season on Friday, October 20
against West Virginia Wesleyan. |
