EDINBORO, PA -- Trevor Harris (Waldo,
OH/Marion Pleasant) record-setting day against Shippensburg
didnt go unnoticed. The redshirt freshman was named the
D2Football.com Player of the Week, sharing the award with fellow
quarterbacks Jimmy Terwilliger of East Stroudsburg and West
Libertys Jay Gullion. In addition, he was recognized as the
PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week. Edinboro improved to 5-5
with a 54-30 win over the Red Raiders.
Harris completed 25 of 37 passes for 437 yards
with 5 TDs. He set the school record for yards passing and total
offense (416 yards) in a game while tying the standard for
completions and TD passes. Even more amazing, at the half he had
thrown for 367 yards, just nine yards shy of Scott Dodds
former school record, with 4 TDs, as Edinboro led 47-24.
The 63, 184 lb. signalcaller has
had an impressive freshman year and is already assaulting the
record book. He has thrown for 200-or-more yards in six games, and
is currently ranked 24th in Division II in passing efficiency. He
has already broken the record for completions in a season (169),
and currently ranks fourth in season attempts (275), 25 shy of the
school record. In addition, he needs 88 yards to surpass the
record for yards passing in a season of 2,281, set by Justin Bouch
in 2004. He ranks third with 2,194 yards. Harris, in fact, has
already moved into 12th place in career passing yards.
Edinboro concludes its season on Saturday,
November 11, playing at Lock Haven. |
