EDINBORO, PA – On Friday the Edinboro
University swimming team returned from a stay in Florida. On
Saturday the Fighting Scots made the short trip to Penn State
Behrend and swept the Lions. The men’s team won, 114-77,
while the women came away with a 106-94 victory. Both teams are
now 3-3.
A pair of Fighting Scots qualified for the PSAC
Championships, and two more set pool records. Five-time
All-American Brooke Heath qualified for PSAC’s in the 50 and
100-meter freestyle events, while Amy Corbran met the standards in
the 200 IM and 1650 freestyle. Julie Ford and Nick Whiteman,
meanwhile, set pool records for the 1650-meter freestyle events.
