EDINBORO, PA – The Edinboro University
women’s soccer team fell out of the national rankings
following a 2-1 loss at seventh-ranked Slippery Rock last week,
but the Fighting Scots still remain among the top teams in the
Northeast Region. Edinboro had been ranked 20th in the
NSCAA/adidas Division II Top 25.
Edinboro, 3-1-1, fell one spot from third to
fourth in the latest Northeast Region rankings. Slippery Rock is
5-1-0 and holds down the top spot in the region, while
Shippensburg is second with a 5-1-0 record. C.W. Post is third and
has a 3-0-2 record. West Chester rounds out the top five.
The Fighting Scots and Golden Rams, who are
3-1-1, will oppose each other at Sox Harrison Stadium on Saturday,
September 15. That match gets underway at 12 noon.
