EDINBORO, PA – The Edinboro University
volleyball team picked up its fourth win in its last five matches
with a three-game win over visiting Fairmont State on Saturday.
The Fighting Scots prevailed by scores of 30-20, 30-16, and 30-28
to improve to 11-5. The Falcons fall to 3-13.
Breanna Smith (North Canton, OH/Hoover)
and Olivia Williams (Barberton, OH/ Barberton) paced
the Fighting Scots with 11 kills apiece. Williams had a hitting
percentage of .476, while Smith came in at .450. Brittany
Slauterbeck (Port Clinton, OH/Oak Harbor) added 10 kills,
while Katie Wilkins (Elkhart, IN/Elkhart Memorial) ended
the day with 40 assists.
Edinboro returns to action on Tuesday,
September 25 with a PSAC West match at Lock Haven.
