EDINBORO, PA – The Edinboro University men’s
and women’s cross country teams are both ranked in the top 25
in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches
Association (USTCCCA) Division II Rankings.
The men’s team moved up one spot to 10th
in the national rankings after a strong showing at the Greater
Louisville Classic. The Fighting Scots finished ninth out of 36
teams in a field made up largely of Division I competition.
Slippery Rock is the top ranked PSAC men’s team, sitting in
the eighth position. Lock Haven is ranked 17th.
The women’s harriers moved up two spots
from 20th to 18th after placing 14th out of 28 teams in the
Greater Louisville Classic. The Fighting Scots are one of three
PSAC teams in the top 25. Kutztown is ranked 11th and Bloomsburg
is 13th.
The Fighting Scots return to competition on
Wednesday, October 17 competing in the Wooster Relays.
