EDINBORO, PA Edinboro moved up two spots
to 20th in the latest Football Gazette NCAA Division II
Top 40. The Fighting Scots appeared for the first time in the
rankings after a 42-41 upset at Bloomsburg three weeks ago. After
being 23rd for two weeks they moved up to 22nd a week ago.
This past week the Fighting Scots made it five
straight wins with a 70-19 Homecoming victory against Lock Haven.
That not only boosted Edinboros record to 5-1, but the
Fighting Scots off to a 2-0 start in PSAC West action. Edinboro
faces PSAC West rival Indiana(Pa.) on Saturday, October 13, as the
Crimson Hawks celebrate their Homecoming. IUP fell from 13th to
27th in this weeks Football Gazette poll after
losing to California(Pa.) this past weekend.
Grand Valley State is the top-ranked team
according to Football Gazette, followed by North Dakota.
North Alabama is ranked third, with Chadron State fourth and
Nebraska-Omaha rounding out the top five.
California(Pa.) is the highest rated PSAC team.
The Vulcans come in ninth. West Chester is ranked 17th. |
