Trevor Harris (Waldo, OH/Marion Pleasant) has been
recognized for the second straight week and third time overall by
the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Harris was named the
PSAC West Co-Offensive Player of the week for the second
consecutive week. He shared the award with Slippery Rock running
back Ryan Lehmeier.
Harris played a large role in Edinboros
70-19 win over Lock Haven despite playing just one series into the
third quarter. The 63, 205 lb. signalcaller passed for
a season-high 340 yards, completing 25 of 29 passes. He threw for
three touchdowns, covering 23, 9, and 41 yards, marking the fifth
straight game and ninth in 17 career outings that he threw for
three-or-more touchdowns. The 340 yards passing is the
fifth-highest single-game total at Edinboro, and he also set a
school record with 15 straight completions to start the game.
Harris is enjoying a record-breaking season. He
has already thrown for 1,607 yards with 19 TDs and just 4 INTs in
six games. The touchdowns passing figure is already tied for fifth
in a season. He became just the fifth quarterback in Edinboro
history to throw for 4,000 yards (4,354), and he also stands
fourth in career pass completions (335) and sixth in career pass
attempts (507). In 17 career games, he has thrown 39 touchdown
passes.
Edinboro returns to action on Saturday, October
13, playing at Indiana(Pa.). Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
