All-Time Teams
EDINBORO, PA In conjunction with
Edinboro Universitys celebration of its Sesquicentennial,
the Athletic Department is recognizing its all-time teams in a
variety of sports.
Today we present the All-Time Baseball Team. A
total of twenty formers players were selected. While the
University dropped the sport of baseball following the 2003
season, the program enjoyed a rich history, particularly with
long-time coach John Ace Radovich at the helm.
Radovich won 290 games in 14 seasons, and the team was definitely
influenced by his roots. A native of the Pittsburgh area, many of
the team members hail from that area.
The All-Time Baseball Team also has a
historical flavor to it, with Edinboro Athletic Hall of Famers
Jerry Mifsud and Roger Stubbe representing the 1970s, along
with Jim Sekel.
