WRESTLING

2007 Baumgartner Wrestling Camp
Learn the system that has helped create one of America's greatest college wrestling programs and some of America's most successful wrestlers, including Bruce Baumgartner (former EU coach, now EU athletic director and four-time Olympic medalist), Lou Rosselli (US Olympian) and Josh Koscheck (NCAA Champion and UFC Star).

BASKETBALL

2007 Boys Basketball Team Camp
The team camp is run in accordance with all PIAA rules. Each day will include games and optional practice sessions. Emphasis is on team concepts and basketball skills.

2007 Girls Basketball Camps
The Edinboro women's basketball coaching staff will be holding three different camps during the 2007 summer, and each are briefly described below. Those interested are urged to get more information in the brochure whose link follows the descriptions.

  • Camp #1 -- Stan Swank Girl's Basketball Camp
    This camp is designed for individuals going into grade levels 4th thru 12th that wish to improve their basketball skills and playing ability. Sessions include teaching of fundamentals, individual competitions and contests, league and team games, and motivational basketball speakers. Other recreation, such as swimming, is also a part of the camp.
    • 2007 Dates: July 15-18
    • Age Group: Grades 4-12
    • Location: Edinboro University
    • Cost: Resident: $250.00; Commuter: $200.00. Discounts are available for same-family attendees and registration for two or three EU girl's basketball camps. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required.
  • Camp #2 -- Elite Girl's Basketball Camp
    This is a one-day camp designed for individuals interested in continuing their basketball careers into college. It centers around each participant: learning about the college game; knowing the fundamentals needed for playing in college; learning the level of commitment; learning college drills and playing games; understanding the importance of academics and the NCAA Clearinghouse; and learning about the recruitment process.
    • 2007 Date: July 19
    • Age Group: Grades 9-12
    • Location: Edinboro University
    • Cost: Commuter: $60.00. Discounts are available for same-family attendees and registration for two or three EU girl's basketball camps. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required.
  • Camp #3 -- Boro Team Camp
    This camp is specifically designed for high school players and their respective teams. There are two different leagues: varsity and junior varsity. The Boro team camp centers around coaches bringing their respective varsity and junior varsity teams to compete against other high school varsity and junior varsity teams in a very competitive atmosphere that is as close to regular game conditions as possible.
    • 2007 Dates: July 20-22
    • Age Group: Grades 9-12
    • Location: Edinboro University
    • Cost: Resident: $175.00; Commuter: $125.00. Discounts are available for same-family attendees and registration for two or three EU girl's basketball camps. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required.

2007 Junior Wheelchair Basketball Camp
The camp is open to all youth ages 12-18 who have a permanent lower extremity physical disability. All staff members are very knowledgeable and skillful within the sport, and all have played or coached wheelchair basketball.

  • Cost: Regular: $325. ($50.00 non refundable deposit due with application.)

CROSS COUNTRY

2007 Distance Village Cross Country Camp
An intellectual approach will be taken to put the 'why' into running as well as the 'how' of the sport. Lectures and videos will be employed on mechanics, the physiology of endurance, training techniques, and running tactics.

  • 2007 Dates: July 22-27
  • Location: Edinboro University
  • Cost: Regular: $265 ($250 if paid in full by June 10); Team: $250 (per person). Minimum $25 deposit must be submitted. Remainder due at registration.

FOOTBALL

2007 Excel Football Camps
The objective of the camp is to allow you as a coach to work with your athletes in a controlled setting. It will offer you an opportunity to isolate your athletes in an environment where you will be able to focus and concentrate for a four-day period with no external distractions.

2007 Tri-State Lineman Football Camp
The camp philosophy is to provide solid fundamental football skills in all aspects of line play, run and pass blocking, pass rush, reading keys, conditioning and flexibility drills. We will teach techniques that are vital to the athlete in reaching his fullest potential. There will also be instruction in weight training, running techniques, flexibility, exercises and special skills.

SOCCER

2007 Edinboro Soccer Team Camp
The Edinboro Soccer Camp is designed to make you a better player. You will be schooled in ways to not only train with your team, but also in ways to train on your own. The skills you will learn at each training session can immediately be put to use in the small-sided games. You are encouraged to try what you have learned.

  • Cost: $250 per camper on the team

SWIMMING

2007 Fighting Scot Elite Swim Camp
This camp is designed to provide two high quality workouts per day in addition to the instruction in all areas of competitive swimming including but not limited to: starts, turns, stroke technique, dryland (weights, medicine ball etc.), diet, and attitude.

  • 2007 Dates: June 17-21, 24-28
  • Location: Edinboro University
  • Cost: Resident: $290.00; Second child in the family: $275.00; Team of 8 or more (per camper): $2750.00; Commuter: $225.00. (A deposit of $50.00 is required with registration.)

This camp is designed to provide each camper the opportunity to learn more about swimming. VOLLEYBALL

2007 Fighting Scots Volleyball Skills and Specialty Camp
Skills Day Camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills in all areas of volleyball. Your training will come from the hands of successful and highly motivated collegiate coaches. We will train all general skills as well as specific training for setters, hitters and liberos. We also include special position training, chalkboard lessons and game scrimmages to teach team strategy.
