Dr. Denise Ohler
Director and Assistant Vice President for Academic Support Services


Dr. Ohler joined the Center in January 1991.  Beginning as an undeclared student at Edinboro University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work and a minor in Psychology.  Dr. Ohler received her M.Ed. from Edinboro in Secondary Guidance and Counseling, and is certified in PA as both a guidance counselor and school psychologist.  Dr. Ohler worked as a career assessment counselor prior to returning to Edinboro, where she worked as the executive assistant to the provost and vice president for academic affairs.  She completed her Ed.D. in School Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Her interests include assessment, career counseling and intervention. 

 

 

Dr. Jody Gallagher
Assistant Director of Career Services


Dr. Gallagher joined the Center in 1999.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education-Student Personnel Services in Higher Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.   She completed her doctoral degree in Adult Education with a minor in Counselor Education at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Gallagher has worked in private vocational rehabilitation and health care settings in the areas of counseling, marketing and program development.  While at Edinboro, she has held various instructional and administrative positions.  She is a nationally certified counselor (NCC), a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania, and she has been recognized as master career counselor (MCC) by the National Career Development Association.  Her professional interests include learning styles, adult learners, adult career development, and the freshman year experience.
