Description: The Hispanic-American Council is a non-profit agency and deals with case management, medical and legal interpreting, education and citizenship. Students will tutor non-English-speaking clients in English as a Second Language.
Edinboro University students will work under the supervision of both the Edinboro University faculty supervisor and the Executive Director of the Hispanic-American Council. Students will develop ESL instructional materials and a pedagogical curriculum under the guidance of the faculty supervisor. Internship students will meet with the non-English-Speaking clientele for regularly scheduled instruction at site's classrooms. Internship students must keep a record/journal of their classroom experience and devise pedagogical problem-solving solutions with the EUP faculty supervisor.
