Board of Directors Biographies 


Dennis Frampton is a 1989 graduate of Edinboro University and the President of C&J Industries in Meadville, PA.  Mr. Frampton is a recognized leader in the Meadville community and current President of the Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce.

 

John Drew is a retired educator from the Erie School District and a 1959 Edinboro State Teacher's College graduate.  Currently Mr. Drew serves on the GECAC Community Charter School Board, the Erie County Board of Assistance, and the GECAC RSVP Board.

 

Diana Schaney graduated Magna Cum Laude from Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.  She has been a managing principal for McGill Power Bell & Associates since 1977.

 

Gary Koenig was recently appointed Vice President and Manager of Northwest Savings Bank, Heritage Trust Division.  Mr. Koenig serves as the Manager of the Heritage Trust Division, providing strategic leadership in the firm’s financial  planning, trust and investment management businesses.  Prior to joining Northwest, Mr. Koenig was employed by  PNC Bank for 26 years, serving most recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Private Banking.

 

Chuck Haynes is a 1981 graduate of Edinboro University.  He is a shareholder and Director of Marketing for the Erie based architectural firm, Weber Murphy Fox.  Chuck is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the American Red Cross-- Erie County Chapter.  His involvement with the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership includes Board Member of the Erie Ambassadors Program Steering Committee and a member and Past Chair of the Professional Recruitment and Retention Committee.

 

Charles Hora previously served as President of Lord Corporation, where he had full responsibility for the worldwide operations of Lord Corporation,  all its divisions and subsidiaries.  Dr. Hora holds ten US Patents and numerous foreign filings.  He has over 30 year experience in the Chemical Industry, and has served on many business, academic and civic boards.

 

Patricia J. Kennedy is a 1985 graduate of Edinboro University.  Ms. Kennedy is Assistant District Attorney for Erie County and is active with the Erie County Bar Association and several of its committees.

 

Dalph McNeil is President of Brookville Mining Corporation and is a 1969 Edinboro University graduate.  Mr. McNeil serves on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Development Commission and the Pine Brook Development Commission.  He also serves on the S&T Advisory Bank Board, the Home to Work Council, the American Institute of Mining Metallurgy and Petroleum Engineers and the Finance Committee at the Clarion First Untied Methodist Church.

 

Richard E. Morley is a Certified Public Accountant; Mr. Morley formerly served for fourteen years as the Vice President for Financial Operations and Administration at Edinboro University.  He previously held administrative positions at Arthur Anderson and Company; City College of New York; and the Metropolitan Opera of New York.

 

Homer Mosco is President of Miller Travel Services in Erie, PA, and a 1971 alumnus of Gannon University.  Mr. Mosco is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Erie Regional Chamber and  Growth Partnership and the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

 

Donna Nicholas is a Professor of Art Emeritus at Edinboro University.  She has been a professor and art instructor for over forty years, which includes Doshisha Women’s College in Kyota, Japan.  Ms. Nicholas has published several ceramic articles and has presented numerous Workshops and Lectures around the country and in Japan.  She has been selected as a Who’s Who in American Art and serves on the Erie Art Museum’s Board of Directors.

 

Richard Rahner retired from practice of Orthopedic Surgery at Saint Vincent Health Center in 1995.  He has been associated with Edinboro University’s athletic program for many years and is known for his volunteer  work with foreign missions and refugees.  He serves on numerous boards and has been featured speaker at many local organizations.

 

Michael Redlawsk is the President of James Properties, Inc., as well as General Partner of Westminster Place Partnership and Westminster Development, LLC.  Through James Properties, Inc. and various related limited partnerships, Mr. Redlawsk provides housing to over 1,300 Edinboro University students annually.  Through Westminster Place Partnership, Mr. Redlawsk is the General Partner for Parkside at North East, Parkside at Westminster, and Regency at South Shore.  Mr. Redlawsk serves on the Saint Vincent and Hamot Health Systems Board of Corporators.  He is a current board member of the Kahkwa Club, an instrument rated pilot, and a 2000 Eberly Award for Philanthropy recipient presented by the State System of Higher Education.

 

Harold Shields currently serves a member of the Edinboro University Council of Trustees.  Mr. Shields is the Human Resources Manager at Alcoa Corporate Center in Pittsburgh PA.  An Edinboro University graduate, Mr. Shields holds a Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree in Education.

 

Ronald Steele is the C.E.O. of the Greater Erie Community Action Committee (GECAC).  GECAC is the county's designated community action agency formed for the purpose of providing services directed towards the elimination of poverty or causes of poverty in the Greater Erie area since 1965.  Mr. Steele began his service at GECAC in 1985 as a member of the Board of Directors and served as Chairman of GECAC's Board of Directors form 1998 to 2004.

 

Roy Strausbaugh was employed at Edinboro University from 1966-1993 in a wide range of roles, including Dean of Academic Administration, Dean of Continuing Education, Associate Vice President of Administration and Student Life, President of Edinboro University Services, Inc., Chair of the History Department, and Professor of History. Dr. Strausbaugh currently serves as the Chairperson of the Flagship Niagara League. He is Commodore and Chair of the Erie Yacht Club and serves on the Advisory Board at PNC Bank, Erie County.

  

Joseph A. Thayer is President of Thayer Power and Communication Line Construction Co., Inc., an independent electrical contracting company.  Thayer Power maintains approximately 130 employees and continues to work in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and other areas in emergency situations.  Mr. Thayer attended Kent State University and Northwood University.

 

Cheryl Vicary is a mother of four and grandmother of four.  She has been a volunteer for 40 years and is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Humane Society, Chairman of the Board for Erie County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a member of the Core Committee of the Neighborhood Art House and immediate past Chairman of the Board for the Saint Vincent Foundation.
