ALUMNI DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP/NURSING
The Alumni Departmental Scholarship/Nursing is offered to a nursing major who has completed 32 or more credit hours of study and whose QPA is 3.2 or greater. This is renewable for up to three years as long as the recipient continues to maintain a 3.2 or greater QPA. Financial need is not a factor.
CLARENCE AND CORA CRAWFORD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

ANNETTE R. HERMAN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is offered to a junior nursing student with the highest cumulative QPA demonstrating financial need equal to or greater than the value of the award. This scholarship is renewable for the senior year provided that the recipient continues in the BS Nursing degree program and maintains a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
ARVILLA O. HILL MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was developed by Mr. Gerard E. Ohmer, in memory of his mother, Mrs. Arvilla O. Hill, the former Head Nurse of the
JEFFY JOHNSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was developed by Rob and Carrie Lowther in honor of Jeffy Johnson, a family friend who passed away as a result of muscular dystrophy. The student should be a Nursing or Speech and Hearing major entering their sophomore, junior or senior year. The student must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative QPA, must be enrolled full-time, and must have earned at least 24 credits in each academic year completed. The preferred recipient should be an athlete who is not receiving any type of athletic scholarship. Financial need may be a factor.
THOMAS O. MORGAN MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
The Thomas O. Morgan Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded to a nursing student who exemplifies those qualities characteristic of Thomas O. Morgan: a compassion for all living things, a gentle heart, a peaceful mind, and who is an inspiration to those around him/her. This scholarship is to be awarded to a nursing student who has indicated a desire and potential to pursue nursing as a career profession. The candidate must have a minimum of 60 credits toward a nursing degree. Financial aid may be a factor.
BETTY J. MURCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This scholarship will be awarded to non-traditional minority students who did not enroll in college immediately after high school. The recipient must have a QPA of 3.0 and major in nursing or education. If the recipient is an incoming freshman, the award is renewable for a maximum of four years provided a minimum cumulative QPA of 3.0 is maintained. Financial need and academic merit are used in determining the recipient.
NURSING DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in nursing who has earned a minimum of 64 credits. Students must provide a one-page summary highlighting his/her participation in campus and/or in community activities. The recipient must have a minimum cumulative QPA of 3.25 and be enrolled in 6 or more credits per semester. This scholarship is renewable for one year. Financial need is a determining factor only in cases of equally qualified candidates.
RILEY/AMIDON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship provides an award to an incoming freshman, sophomore, junior or senior (in that order). At the time of enrollment, the student’s home address should be
SHIRLEY L. ROTH NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship has been established in memory of Shirley L. Roth to provide financial assistance for students and to encourage a commitment to nursing and a compassion for helping others, as demonstrated by Ms. Roth during her lifetime. First preference shall be given to students who are nursing majors, enrolled on a full-time basis (as determined by
DR. NANCY S. RUNG SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded to a female studying one of the pre-professional health programs, Nursing (or occupational/or physical therapy program). The preference of selection: incoming freshman, then sophomore, junior, or senior. The scholarship is renewable for 4 years with a 3.0 cumulative QPA and the recommendation from the department chairperson. Financial need is to be used only as a determining factor if there are multiple finalists.
