GILTINAN-OVERHEIM PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was developed by Dr. David Giltinan, Dr. Daniel Overheim and family, alumni, employees, and friends. The recipient of this scholarship must be an incoming freshman who graduated from high school in the top 20 percent of his/her class with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 in college preparatory/academic curriculum and a minimum SAT score of 1240 or ACT score of 28. If there are two or more students with identical academic credentials, the student with the greatest financial need will be awarded. If there are no incoming freshmen who qualify, the scholarship can be awarded to an upperclass student who has a minimum QPA of 3.25 and has earned 32 or more credits. The incoming freshman student who receives the scholarship may be a candidate to receive it again as an upperclass student provided there are no freshmen who qualify.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is provided by the Physics and Technology Department and tool and die industry leaders to support the advancement and training of individuals embarking on a career in the field.This scholarship provides an annual award to a student majoring in the manufacturing engineering technology program. The recipient must have completed 12 credits, have a minimum cumulative QPA of 2.75, have completed two courses in the MET program and be recommended by the MET program director. Financial need is not a factor.
