JOE AND ELEONORA BUBA SCHOLARSHIP FOR MET
Joe and Eleonora Buba have long been advocates and supporters of Edinboro University. It is their hope that their philanthropic example will not only provide financial assistance to deserving students, but encourage and motivate charitable responsibility in others. The successful candidate will be an incoming freshman with preference to a student pursuing an A.E.T. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, B.S. in Industrial Trade and Leadership or a B.A. in Physics. This scholarship is renewable provided the student meets the academic requirements of the School of Science, Management and Technology. Financial need is a factor.
DEAN'S SCHOLARSHIP - SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY
This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student in the School of Science, Management and Technologies who is entering his/her senior year and has attained a QPA of 3.5 or better. Financial need may be, but is not necessarily a factor. The award will be rotated among the following seven departments: biology and health services, business administration and economics, chemistry, geosciences, math and computer science, nursing, and physics and technology. If a department does not have an acceptable recipient in any given year, the award rotates to the next department.
ART AND PAT JARVIS FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was developed by Art and Pat Jarvis, who graduated from Edinboro State College in 1949. Art earned a degree in Physics and Pat earned a degree in Art. One award will be provided annually if a satisfactory applicant can be identified. The annual award will alternate yearly between a Physics major and Art Education major. The eligible candidate must be enrolling in a degree-seeking program for the first time and meet the minimum academic standards for enrollment, which include general scholarship, character, interest, and motivation as may be determined by official scholastic records, aptitude tests, recommendations, and interviews. Financial need may be considered, but is not a limiting factor. The student is encouraged to apply for federal financial aid.
