Elementary Education Department - Undergraduate

The Department of Elementary Education prepares teachers for the nursery, elementary and middle schools for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the competencies in Elementary Education and 120 credit hours, the student is awarded a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and is recommended to the State for a teaching certificate after successfully passing a State-administered teacher examination. The Department also offers courses which will enable individuals holding the Instructional I certificate to obtain the Level II certificate for permanent teaching certification in the Commonwealth. Students are required to meet Edinboro University of Pennsylvania's guidelines
for candidacy and program completion in the Teacher Education Program.
