rank among the top 15% of graduates in their high school class or

Final admission into the honors program is determined by evaluation
of this application which includes a written essay of 500 - 700
words. The essay is an essential component of the admission
decision. The Director reserves the right to deny admission to any
student who does not exhibit strong writing skills, who seems
otherwise unprepared for the honors curriculum, or who does not
exhibit the motivation to pursue an honors degree designation.
The Dr. Robert C. Weber Honors Program is an interdisciplinary
curricular program for students who desire access to small honors
courses and who wish to pursue the honors degree designation.
The Residence Life & Housing Office will assign students to the
Honors Living/Learning Floor who indicate it as their first choice
on the housing application. This will occur only after students are
posted as Honors Program members on the university student database.
Note: Students failing to earn at least a 3.00 cumulative grade
