Computer Sales and Service

 

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, in partnership with our computer supplier Computer Showcase, is pleased to announce discounted educational pricing on new desktop computers and laptops.  Click for link to Computer Showcase for information on these systems. Please note that students are not required to purchase a computer from any particular vendor.  All desktop computers and laptops that meet minimum requirements can be used on the Edinboro University residence hall network.  Click for information on EUP minimum recommended computer requirements.

 

Systems purchased from Computer Showcase receive warranty repair service through the Technology Help Center located in Ross Hall.  These systems come with 4 Year Complete Care Accidental Damage Protection which covers both accidental and hardware failure.  Some examples of accidental damage may include failure resulting from liquid spilled on the unit, drops, falls, or accidental breakage.

 

Edinboro University software and network configurations that allow access to the Edinboro network are pre-loaded onto the systems purchased from Computer Showcase.  Throughout the warranty period, re-imaging of original software is offered for $20.00.

 

In addition to the Complete Care Warranty on Dell PC’s purchased through the Edinboro University program, the following services are offered by Computer Showcase:

·        Warranty service on Acer, Gateway, HP, Apple, Lenovo, Epson

·        Service on any PC on a non-warranty basis

·        PC’s purchased through Dell direct cannot be serviced as manufacturer’s warranty; however, they can be serviced as billable

 

Computer Showcase charges an hourly rate of $55.00 per hour + parts for non-warranty work.
