Redirect (Forward) E-mail
This How-To provides instructions on redirecting your mail to an external e-mail account you previously setup and check frequently; i.e. hotmail.com, yahoo.com.

The steps listed below will redirect a copy of the message to the entered e-mail address and move the original message to the Deleted> folder in WEBMAIL.

How do I redirect my e-mail?

    • Login to Webmail with your username and password; i.e. j345678d

    • Selecting the RULES icon will take you to the Edit Rules screen.

    • Select [Add] button

    • Select Rule Active (if not already checked) to allow the rule to be processed

    • Enter a Rule Name i.e. MailForward

    • Include and Exclude Conditions should remain blank
    • Rule Actions: Select Add

Select Redirect to: and enter the e-mail address that messages will be sent to; johndoe@hotmail.com, for example.

    • Click SAVE

    • Rule Actions: Select Add

      Select Delete Message

    • Click SAVE

    • Select [OK] to accept the actions.

    • Click SAVE
    • Selecting the OPTIONS icon will take you to the Change Options screen.

    • The messages in the Deleted and Outbox folders count against your quota; set the number of days to keep messages in these folders to 15. If you set the number to 0, messages will be retained indefinetly and once your quota is met you will not be able to send and receive mail.

    • Click SAVE

Rules are very sophisticated in the way they can automate e-mail tasks. Be aware that some rules must be performed before other rules can process.

For example, you must forward, redirect, or auto-reply before you delete a message. If a message is moved or deleted by one rule, it can't be processed by a rule that is further down the list. You can change the order that rules are processed by selecting the rule and then selecting [Move Up] or [Move Down].

Edit a rule and select or deselect Rule Active to have a rule run or not run.

And of course you can delete a rule completely by highlighting it and selecting [Delete].
