Remote Access is available for Employees Only.
Modem Dial Up Access is limited but available via phone number 732-2978. This is not enabled by default for any user. In December 2006 we upgraded our campus EUP domain to the current network operating system and as a result of this upgrade our existing remote access server (RAS) no longer has a direct link to the campus domain accounts. Therefore, until a new remote access dial up server can be purchased and configured to seamlessly link to our EUP domain, users must provide their username and current EUP domain password to our Network Operations Manager (Joe Zalik) at ext:1045 so he can manually configure the account for remote dial up access. Thank You.
For those who have an internet service and wish to connect to EUP's network resources, please follow the instructions below for setting up a Virtual Private Network connection.
Setting Up a VPN Connection on XP
- New Connection Wizard will launch
- Network Connection Type - Select Connect to the Network at my Workplace
- Network Connection - Select Virtual Private Network Connection
- Connection Name - Call it EUP VPN, it really doesn’t matter.
- Public Network - You can set up to dial your regular ISP automatically before connecting to the EUP VPN. This saves you from doing it in 2 separate steps. If you want to dial the VPN separately choose Do not dial the initial connection. If you want it to be automatic (recommended) choose Automatically dial initial connection and chose your regular ISP dialup connection that you should already have in place from the drop-down window.
- VPN Server Selection - Type in 147.64.250.10 for IP address.
- Connection Available - Choose My use only.
- That’s it, Click Finish

Note: this will connect your computer directly to the EUP network and you will have to log in with your EUP network password. Performance will be very slow over a modem connection. |
