WOMEN'S INFORMATION SERVICES PROJECT

The Internationaal Informatiecentrum en Archief voor de Vrouwenbeweging (International Information Center and Archives for the Women's Movement, Amsterdam), hosted the Know How Conference on women's information, August 22-26, 1998. Mapping the World of women's information services is a project associated with the conference, and all organizations involved in such services are urged to contribute information about what they do. Try one or more of the general directories of women-focused sites on the Web, such as Femina.cybergrrl.com and WWWomen.
Zenska Infoteka, from Croatia, has a Regional Women's Directory Database, which includes women's groups and initiatives in Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro together with Kosovo, Romania, Slovakia. It is searchable by name, place, and keyword.

Association for Women's Rights in Development includes practitioners, scholars, and policy makers.

National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) promotes feminist teaching, learning, and research, professional and community service at all educational levels, and the interdisciplinary field of women's studies.
Society for Women in Philosophy (SWIP) site includes syllabi, articles, and other resources, maintained by Cynthia Freeland, University of Houston.
Women in French promotes feminist scholarship in French language, literature, and civilization.
Women in German promotes feminist scholarship in German language, literature, and culture.
Women's Classical Caucus seeks to incorporate feminist and gender-informed perspectives in the study and teaching of all aspects of ancient Mediterranean cultures.
