What is a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies?

The Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies is a unique program in the PA State System of Higher Education.  The program combines specialized and integrative approaches to subject areas in the social sciences and humanities.  Majors have the opportunity to study women and women's issues throughout history and around the world.  The program prepares graduates to live and work in our global society.

The Women's Studies major also provides invaluable experience for historical and anthropological research in such areas as art, history, archeology, political science, human development, or communication.  Graduates will be well prepared to compete in the job market or in graduate school in a wide variety of disciplines.
